FutureMeds has been shortlisted in two categories at the 2025 Business Culture Awards and Business Culture Connected:

  • Best Business Culture Definition Award

  • Aligning Culture Award

The recognition highlights FutureMeds’ ongoing commitment to building a unified, people-centred culture that supports consistent delivery of clinical research excellence across Europe.

The Challenge: Scaling Fast, Staying Connected

By 2023, FutureMeds found itself at a crossroads. After a period of rapid expansion, the company faced a familiar challenge for fast-growing organisations: how to remain united and scale sustainably.

Each site had its own history, habits, and identity. Without a shared culture, FutureMeds risked fragmentation, inconsistent employee experiences, and uneven performance. The leadership recognised that establishing a single FutureMeds identity was essential to support the company’s strategy.

The Approach: Defining our guiding principles, the Progress P.A.C.T.

Throughout 2023 and 2024, a cross-functional task force led by FutureMeds’ Executive Vice President of Operations, and supported by representatives from Brand, HR, and Marketing, undertook a company-wide effort to define what “one FutureMeds” should stand for.

The process began with leadership alignment workshops, followed by employee interviews and focus groups across all sites and levels. The aim was to identify the values and behaviours that truly represented how teams wanted to work together.

The outcome was the Progress P.A.C.T., a cultural framework built around four pillars: People, Access, Collaboration, and Truth. It captures FutureMeds’ collective promise to put people first, ensure access to opportunities, work together openly, and stay true to shared principles.

“The Progress P.A.C.T. was created with our patients, partners, and teams in mind. We want every employee to feel part of a company grounded in shared values, where people and patients are truly at the heart of our mission.”

Karolina Wilczek, Senior HR Manager, FutureMeds Poland

To bring the P.A.C.T. to life, FutureMeds introduced site-level Culture Captains, distributed Culture Packs to facilitate local workshops and discussions, and established a Culture Fund to support team-building activities that strengthen connection and trust across locations.

The Outcome: From Awareness to Action

Just over a year since launching the Progress P.A.C.T., FutureMeds has seen measurable results. Employee engagement has risen, and surveys show a stronger sense of unity and pride in being part of FutureMeds. Collaboration between sites has increased, silos have reduced, and voluntary turnover has declined as more employees choose to stay and grow with the company.

Client feedback reflects the same transformation. Sponsors and partners have noted greater consistency and alignment across FutureMeds sites, reinforcing the link between culture and delivery quality.

“FutureMeds has built a strong reputation for being innovative and forward-thinking in research, and we’re bringing that same mindset and energy to how we shape our culture. We’ll continue to build on what we’ve achieved by creating more opportunities, enhancing our employee experience, and keeping our Progress P.A.C.T. at the forefront of everything we do.”

Jillian Liken, HR Manager, FutureMeds UK

Looking Ahead

As FutureMeds continues to expand to meet client demands, maintaining a cohesive and inclusive culture remains a strategic priority.

The nominations for the 2025 Business Culture Awards recognise not just what has been achieved so far, but also FutureMeds’ ongoing commitment to investing in its people, strengthening collaboration, and ensuring that culture remains a driver of both quality and growth.
