FutureMeds Expands German Network with New Dedicated Research Site in Dusseldorf

The new site will add dedicated clinical research capacity in North Rhine-Westphalia, with initial operations planned for November 2026 and a full opening in early 2027.

FutureMeds is establishing a dedicated clinical research site in Dusseldorf, extending its German network into the country’s most populous federal state.

The site will give Sponsors and CROs additional study capacity in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, one of Europe’s largest urban areas and home to more than 10 million people. Its location will also help FutureMeds reach new and more diverse patient populations across western Germany.

The Dusseldorf opening forms part of FutureMeds’ continued expansion across Germany. The company currently operates dedicated research sites in Berlin and Frankfurt, with an additional site in Nuremberg scheduled to open in late 2026.

Together, the locations will strengthen FutureMeds’ coverage across northern, central, southern and western Germany, giving clients more options when planning multisite and multicountry studies.

A multidisciplinary healthcare setting

The new site will be based within Medical Center Dusseldorf, a modern healthcare facility bringing together more than 60 physicians across 26 medical specialties.

Its multidisciplinary setting creates opportunities for collaboration between dedicated research teams and physicians working in routine healthcare. For Sponsors, this can support broader patient outreach and access to relevant medical expertise. Patients will benefit from an accessible facility with multiple healthcare services available in one location.

The new site is being refurbished specifically for clinical research, with the fit-out providing dedicated facilities for patients, investigators, study teams and sponsor representatives.

Phased opening from October

FutureMeds expects to begin operating part of the Dusseldorf site by November 2026. This initial phase will allow the team to begin selected study activities and patient engagement while work continues on the expanded facility.

The full site is expected to open in early 2027.
