The award highlights FutureMeds’ commitment to cultural alignment as a foundational element of operational reliability and patient experience.

Addressing Cultural Risk in a Period of Rapid Growth

Between 2020 and 2023, FutureMeds expanded into new countries and opened or acquired multiple dedicated clinical research sites. Growth of this scale, across diverse working environments, created a need for a unified way of operating to support quality and delivery consistency.

In response, the company introduced a structured programme to define shared behaviours and expectations across all locations and roles. This initiative became the Promise of Progress: the Progress P.A.C.T.

The programme was developed through leadership engagement, employee feedback, and local culture implementation led by Culture Captains at site level. Its objective is to ensure every participant, client, and colleague experiences the same standards of communication and collaboration, regardless of geography or service model.

“Clinical research depends on trust from regulators, from patients, and from the organisations that place studies with us. That trust requires the same standards and behaviours everywhere we operate. We are seeing benefits from our culture definition work, and we will continue to build on it as we scale.”

- Dr Radoslaw Janiak, CEO

Judges’ Feedback

Judges described the FutureMeds approach as “thorough, practical and strategically aligned,” noting:

  • Early identification of cultural risk during expansion

  • Participation from staff at all levels in co-creating the cultural framework

  • Practical mechanisms for local implementation

  • Measurable early outcomes across retention, collaboration, engagement and client confidence

  • A clear link between cultural consistency and performance

The panel also commended the organisation for acknowledging improvement areas and actively developing metrics to monitor long-term progress.

FutureMeds was also named a finalist in the Aligning Culture Award category.

Continuing the Culture Journey

The company will continue to evolve and benchmark the Progress P.A.C.T. to:

  • Increase belonging to One FutureMeds and unlock further employee opportunities

  • Enhance operational consistency across countries and sites

  • Boost patient experience

The effort remains a core part of FutureMeds’ strategy as the organisation expands its footprint and capabilities across Europe.

FutureMeds congratulates all category winners and finalists and thanks the Business Culture Awards team for recognising organisations driving practical and measurable cultural progress.
