Spanish Clínica DKF Enters Clinical Trial Partnership with FutureMeds

As part of the collaboration, Clínica DKF will house FutureMeds Dedicated Research Site, and the organisations will join forces to advance clinical trial outcomes in Spain and beyond.

At FutureMeds, we are thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership between FutureMeds and Clínica DKF, a family-owned private clinic in the heart of Madrid with a remarkable team and an outstanding track record.

The collaboration that aligns perfectly with FutureMeds' philosophy and company culture, marks a significant step forward in the pursuit of innovative healthcare solutions as both organisations join forces to drive patient access to new CNS, rheumatology, pain, dermatology, allergology/respiratory treatments in Spain and beyond.

As part of the collaboration, FutureMeds will establish a Dedicated Research Site (DRS) within Clínica DKF's facility, further solidifying the partnership's commitment to accelerating patient access to new treatments.

FutureMeds’ DRS model has already been successfully implemented in four other countries. By setting up a dedicated research unit at Clínica DKF, FutureMeds will be able to work closely with the clinic's team of specialists, leveraging combined expertise to optimise clinical trials and deliver innovative medical solutions to patients across Europe.

Dr Karin Freitag, founder and director of Clínica DKF, is a specialist in Rheumatic and Sports Medicine and a renowned expert in Shockwave and Regenerative Medicine & Cell Therapy. Her pioneering research on non-invasive treatments for orthopaedic applications has contributed to the understanding of the biological effect of shockwave therapy, leading her to discover the groundbreaking Neurolith method, which involves transcranial stimulation with shock waves in the field of neurology, particularly for cognitive diseases.

To enable cutting-edge research into helping patients living with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, Clínica DKF built their own state-of-the-art shockwave therapy lab equipped with the latest modern medical devices. They also invested in their own Investigator Initiated Trial to provide evidence that this therapy can slow down Alzheimer's progression and help patients' memory. Dr Karin Freitag will reveal and discuss this groundbreaking work during an upcoming prestigious congress in Korea.
