Due to the improved public perception of clinical trials and local investment in clinical research, Ukraine has become an attractive destination for global investment. As a result, over 550 Phase I-III clinical trials are being currently conducted in the country. Dr. Ivan Vyshnyvetskyy, MD, PhD, with over 20 years experience in conducting sponsored clinical trials as an Investigator, will be leading FutureMeds’ Ukrainian operations and extending FutureMeds' Dedicated Research Sites Network into Ukraine. He assumed Managing Director responsibilities on 1st October 2021.

Leading FutureMeds’ Dedicated Research Site Network in Ukraine, Dr. Vyshnyvetskyy will continue raising public awareness of clinical trials, increase trial efficiency and extend trial opportunities in the country.
Dr. Vyshnyvetskyy holds a Ph.D. degree in Cardiology and Associate Professorship in Internal Medicine. Prior to joining FutureMeds, Ivan worked as Head of Clinical Trial Administration Unit at Donetsk National Medical University until 2014.
Between 2014 and 2016, as a Head of Department, he helped to grow Universal Clinic "Oberig", a multidisciplinary medical centre in Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2016 Dr. Vyshnyvetskyy started a small Site Service Organization, which supports the operations of Ukrainian sites in different therapeutic areas.
Since 2014 he has been also working as an Associate Professor of Healthcare Management Department of Bogomolets National Medical University in Kyiv, Ukraine and is mentoring the course “Basics of biomedical research” for postgraduates.
In 2018 as part of a group of research doctors and others working in the field he established the Ukrainian Association for Clinical Research NGO. As the president of the NGO, he ensures that the organisation stays on mission, protects the rights of research doctors, continues to harmonise legislation, increases cooperation with the Ukrainian regulatory body and promotes the development of clinical research in the country.
