Dr Radoslaw Janiak, CEO of FutureMeds, has been named a regional finalist in the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year UK program.

The recognition places the CEO of FutureMeds, among a group of 90 business leaders from sectors including health, technology, consumer, financial and professional services. EY said the regional finalists collectively employ more than 20,000 people and generate £3.22 billion in combined revenue.

Across our European network of dedicated research sites, together with our at-home service, we have focused on building the infrastructure, operational discipline and patient access pathways needed to deliver studies consistently across multiple countries and help patients access research in more practical ways. To date, we have supported more than 32,000 patient enrolments across 2,300+ studies and delivered over 16,000 homevisits across 330+ decentralised trials.

Ally Scott, EY Entrepreneur Of The Year UK co-partner lead, said this year’s finalists show “bold leadership, long-term vision and a clear commitment to building businesses that create value — not only for their customers, but for communities and the wider UK economy. They are truly exceptional leaders and exemplify the strength of the UK’s entrepreneurial talent.”

Those themes are familiar and highly relevant in clinical research, where growth matters only if it improves patient access, retention and trial delivery. Sponsors look for partners that can activate sites well, recruit the right patients and maintain quality across multiple markets. Patients need access to models that are practical enough to support participation throughout the trials that can last for years.

“It is good to see this work recognised, but the recognition belongs to a much wider group of people. FutureMeds has been built by teams across countries, by partners who have trusted us with important work, and by patients who have chosen to take part in research. My job is to keep building an organisation that makes clinical trials more accessible for patients and more dependable for sponsors.”

Dr Radoslaw Janiak, CEO

Paul Chambers, chairman of FutureMeds, said “Radek has built a scalable, trusted, and resilient business from the ground up and has helped prepare the company for its next phase of growth while safeguarding its values and culture.”

The regional finalists will be reviewed by an independent panel. Ten entrepreneurs will advance to the UK final, and the overall UK winner will be announced in November.

For us, this recognition is another encouraging marker for the kind of organisation we are continuing to build: one that grows stronger through collaboration, discipline and focus on patients.
